  • i freakin' hate the school system. There i said it. i mean, they have me walking to school in 35 degree weather in the winter and when the sun does come out we have school until 4:00 PM. i mean why don't some of the people from the board of education get off their lazy butts and drag themselves to school every morning at 7AM and come home at 4 PM after having endless classes. geez, we go to school for a whole week and all we get in return is a bunch of homework and a lousy two days. Regents and SATS? when am i going to need that in the future? am i going to walk into a supermarket, look at a gallon of milk and say, hey, lets make an inequality out of the prices to figure out how much milk I'll be buying per year. like i give a crap. why do i need to know the DNA codon sequence? i don't see it, does it even freakin' exist except in the minds of the scientist's who supposedly saw it. half of these guys are crazy anyway. what's to say they didn't imagine all of this. what's to say it's not really ATCG and maybe ABCD. we don't know that. history? don't even get me started.

  • chocolate causes sleeplessness!

One of the best things known to man! Covered in nuts, assortment of fillings, ranging from strawberry to vanilla creme. Chocolates! They have a new meaning to those that value their sleep over sweet treats. Did you know that a 1.5-ounce of Hershey’s chocolate contains about the same amount of caffeine in a decaffeinated cup of coffee? Chocolate contains theobromine. Theobromine increases heart rate and causes those Z’s to disappear. This is why the National Sleep Foundation recommends that you avoid chocolate and anything containing caffeine as it not only causes sleeplessness but also can affect you 12 hours after you consumed it.

  • almost went blind from using a computer!

The other day while I was using the computer, my vision blurred and I couldn’t see properly. I was really afraid. So, I decide to research what had happened to me. After endless questions and research, I came to a conclusion that I had Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS). I found out that it was a temporary condition that only occurred when from focusing your eyes on the computer screen for a prolonged period of time. Symptoms include headaches, blurred vision, neck pain, eyestrain, dry, irritated eyes, and difficult refocusing the eyes.
There are many quick and easy solutions to CVS. Using artificial tear solutions can reduce the effects of CVS. Looking out the window at a far-off object can help refocus your eyes. There is something called the “20-20-20 rule” this means to focus your eyes every 20 minutes on an object 20 feet away for 20 seconds.

Did this ever happen to you? Do you have any solutions of your own to this problem?
